Dr. Samuel Henry Coker - Founder of Global Foundation Network
Dr. Samuel Henry Coker is a passionate advocate for social change and the founder of Global Foundation Network, an organization dedicated to combating drug addiction and substance abuse in Sierra Leone, Guinea, and Liberia. His journey into the fight against drug addiction began with a deep concern for the future of the youth in his community, where the devastating effects of drug misuse were increasingly evident.
Born and raised in Sierra Leone, Dr. Coker witnessed firsthand the destructive consequences of substance abuse on families, communities, and individuals, particularly young people. As a result, he made it his life's mission to address the growing crisis of drug addiction that was affecting the youth in Sierra Leone, Liberia, and Guinea. He recognized the urgent need for intervention, support, and education to break the cycle of addiction that was leaving a deep scar on the social fabric of these nations.
With his background in public health and social advocacy, Dr. Coker understood that the battle against drug addiction required more than just awareness campaigns—it required a comprehensive, holistic approach. In 2018, he founded Global Foundation Network with the vision of providing immediate relief, long-term rehabilitation, and education to individuals and communities affected by substance misuse.
Under his leadership, Global Foundation Network has grown into a leading force in the region, providing critical services such as detoxification, rehabilitation, and mental health support for those struggling with addiction. Dr. Coker's organization has been instrumental in raising awareness about the dangers of drugs like Kush (synthetic marijuana), opioids, and other harmful substances that are wreaking havoc on young people’s lives.
Dr. Coker has dedicated himself to collaborating with government agencies, non-profit organizations, and local communities to create safe spaces for healing and recovery. His organization works tirelessly to break the stigma surrounding addiction, provide educational resources, and create programs that help young people reclaim their futures.
Beyond his role as the founder, Dr. Samuel Henry Coker is a mentor, a counselor, and a steadfast advocate for youth empowerment. He continues to be deeply involved in the field, conducting outreach, raising awareness, and advocating for better policies and support systems for those impacted by substance abuse.
Through Global Foundation Network, Dr. Coker’s vision is to build a future where young people are empowered to overcome addiction, contribute positively to society, and live healthy, fulfilling lives. His dedication and commitment to fighting the drug epidemic in Sierra Leone, Guinea, and Liberia have earned him recognition as a leader in the fight against substance abuse in West Africa.
